Competitive image

It is the details that help you discover exactly what your optics and digital sensor can really capture. The combination of the market’s largest sensors and outstanding optics found in the Hasselblad H3D ensures that your details really stand out. Even when comparing images shot with the most advanced, high-end products, there is a clear difference in the results that are achieved from the different approaches available. Compare for yourself and see the difference that the Hasselblad approach brings.

Once the details of an image have been captured, the Hasselblad Raw Converter can be turned loose on the file – since the art of balance is never more evident than when it comes to image processing. Determining how to make jagged pixel lines smooth – while still maintaining color, clarity and sharpness – demands the most advanced calculations and deep enough knowledge of photography to know which compromises are beneficial – and acceptable – and which are not.

The Hasselblad raw processor, working on the 3FR raw image format, is the best processor available and allows you to accurately reproduce the finest of details. Details such as single hair strands, small colored patterns, fine text, and so on. Details that have proven too difficult for even the most advanced digital systems. With the H3D, you can rest assured that every detail is preserved – and nothing is sacrificed.

In the example here, you can compare the H3D39 with a 39 Mpix competitor or a 16 Mpix DSLR camera. You can also see what happens when the unique Hasselblad Multi Shot (MS) feature takes over from the interpolation and actually captures full color information in every single pixel.
